VKL Media is a production company based in Setia Alam. They strive to provide sustainable relationship with their clients to create impactful stories.

Previously known as Videographer KL, VKL now came up with new marketing strategy. After years of SEO marketing strategy through their name, they now wanted to be known as the most reliable corporate video production.

Working directly with their CEO Atiqah Fadzil, we quickly understand their objective. Being a creative agency themselves, they translate their direction, vision & mission along with their references, making the process smooth. We took this opportunity to enhance their brand strategy & strengthen their identity by analysing their competitors, target market, moods, feelings etc.
   
   
The Strategy

After a thorough discussion with our client on how they envision their rebranding process, we run their brand analysis to see where they coming from & where it can potentially lead us to. The new identity must reflect their value, which is to create impact & making video-making experience feel easy for their clients. As the result, we are looking at something bold, unconventional, yet professional.

We then analyse their competitor to study what is the best practice & what is to avoid while developing their identity. This process is important for us to create the design system that is responsive and practical. We are also able to identify what is the brand touchpoint that need to pay attention to, to create consistent visual elements.

From this study we can summarise that the identity strategy we proposed should be minimal, adaptable & sustainable. 
   
   
Look & Feel

We then create a moodboard of three design concept for them to choose from. The three path we are creating is based on the concept of cold, disruptive, and hot. After a thorough discussion we decided to combine two of the concept, disruptive & cold, which we agree will distinct themself from their competitors & represent their direction.
   
   
The Sketch

Now that we understand the overall image, we start the logo development by sketching initial concept. We sit down with their co-founder, Izzat Razif to visualise the logo ideas. Based on the information we gathered, we bring it to the lab and look for potential marks.

At some point we show them several options and ask to share thoughts & feeling on each of them. This feedback loop helps in further designing a mark that owner will love. We believe by creating a visual identity that resonate to their aesthetic will help them to be more confident while marketing their services.

We further refine the logo by enhancing & filtering the variations and finishing it using golden ratio for a perfect construction.
